California SB277 - Vaccinate or Homeschool, now

in #forcedpenetration8 years ago (edited)

Yesterday U.S. District Court Judge Dana Sabraw in San Diego denied a request to stay the requirements of the California #SB277.  This law would require all kindergarteners and  seventh graders in public and private schools across the state must  prove they are fully inoculated against 10 different diseases, from  diphtheria to tetanus, unless they have a medical exemption form signed  by a licensed doctor.

This lawsuit was filed July 1 for an injunction against the state mandate.  One of three in process through the courts for this purpose, this suit is the first to be dismissed.  The good judge stated point blank in this case:

"... Supreme Court has  reiterated the fundamental rights under the First Amendment to the  United States Constitution do not overcome the State’s interest ..."

This judge, like her compatriot Catherine Martin, the Director  of the California Immunization Coalition, feels "the needs of the whole" come first.  The whole, as in the collective.  The whole as in the imagined greater being created when individuals decide to group.  They are worried about "herd immunity", but themselves abdicated responsibility for considering the terms and concepts used in public discussion in context long ago.

Let's be real:  If you are vaccinated, your school aged kids are vaccinated and an un-vaccinated kid is introduced to the school you are NOT somehow in danger from the things you were vaccinated against.  I concede there is danger for those who cannot be vaccinated:  the very young and those with weak immune systems; but these society members pose the same risk to you as the un-vaccinated: none.  Further, herd immunity is a concept most never take a second to consider.  It is an idea too describe a security posture; not a real thing to "protect".

Give me 2 minutes of your time; I'll explain in this short 2 minute video. The primary conversation needs to be focused on individual liberty.  The state does not have rights.  The state is a concept.  You are real.  Slow down and think for yourself.   #forcedpenetration is not OK regardless your personal choice.

Thx for a great post.

Especially; They are worried about "herd immunity", but themselves abdicated responsibility for considering the terms and concepts used in public discussion in context long ago.

And: The primary conversation needs to be focused on individual liberty. The state does not have rights.

Thank you kindly, @talyvale. I believe the confusion and resulting ill-guided law we see is a direct result of what I know as a "tyranny of words". Folks tend to react on emotion believing they understand the concepts presented, but in reality it is cognitive dissonance clouding their judgement and straight instinct guiding their action. If you like this kind of straight talk; I share my stuff through thelocalpond.com sporadically. I went into further detail on word tyranny in this video a while back:
I'm making the switch off FedBook to steemit too. Enough with the ad-rolls and privacy tricks :)

Good article. I post about vaccines too. L
