I really should have stayed up yesterday!
I cannot really believe it, but for some reason, I decided to go to bed early yesterday, instead of sitting up to watch the game between Liverpool and Barcelona. I had a secret hope for Liverpool to win, and even though I knew that Barcelona often messes thing up when they are playing their away matches in the Champions League, I still didn't expect them to mess things up that much really...
So, I fell asleep, and around midnight I woke up and I quickly checked my mobile phone and the live score application I used. I couldn't believe it... 4-0 victory for Liverpool! I was just seriously happy, not because I am a big Liverpool fan, but because I like the club, I admire Jurgen Klopp for his job, and I really hope that they will somehow end up winning the Premier League as well (even though the chances for that are really small).
But, I was also sad, because I missed out on the match, and it would have been so great to watch all the action live. I have seen all the goals since then, but it isn't the same as sitting in front of the screen watching the Champions League matches online, biting nails, eating chocolate, and drinking something good... man it would have been great to watch the match!
Messi didn't manage to win the Champions League with Barcelona this year either.
But who knows, if I had been watching the match, maybe it would have ended in a different way? Have you ever had such crazy thoughts thinking that what you do actually influence the way matches end up? It is so crazy, but I guess many of us still think that if I watch a match, it might influence the team in a negative way... or if I do not watch the match, it will bring luck and so on... well, crazy stuff all of it!
But, now I just have to wait for tonight's match between Ajax and Tottenham. As I have said many times before, Ajax is much better away in the Champions League, and they won against both Real Madrid and Juventus after a solid appearance away. So, the match in Amsterdam will for sure become harder than they expect, and this time Tottenham has the advantage of creating trouble if they score due to the away-goal rule.
While waiting, I am totally hooked up on Line of Duty on BBC at the moment. This is one of many BBC series I really like. I know many people suffer from VPN errors as they try to watch BBC abroad, but that isn't really needed, because it is quite easy to stream the channel online, even when abroad. And then there is the series named Fleabag. It isn't really my taste, and we had to wait for a long time for the second season to arrive, but it has now finished airing on BBC, and if you haven't seen it yet, this is your chance. You cannot find Fleabag in any Netflix region, but you can find it on Amazon Prime in the USA, or at BBC iPlayer in the UK.
Have it your way! By the way, I think you can go to bed at ease tonight. It might turn into an awesome match, but it will never be like watching Liverpool win 4-0 against Barcelona at Anfield Road!

I just got home to watch the second half and what an amazing game it was! I’m not even a fan of either team but hell was I on the edge of my seat! A simply mind blowing come back

And while you were on the edge of your seat, I was snoring in my bed... Should have snored some other time instead! haha :)
