And just like that the season is over for the Seminoles

With an off-season that started off with so much promise the season itself was anything but. Expectations were sky high in Tallahassee with a new coach, stud running back in Cam Akers, and a returning quarterback in Deondre Francois. Throughout the season things could not get figured out either side of the ball. The team would play a good a good quarter or a good half but could not string together a whole game of consistent play.

The longest bowl streak in NCAA football history was snapped after the Seminoles ended the year 5-7. There were a few games the Seminoles could have won to get them to that elusive 6th win but they could not seal the deal. Tallahassee as a whole I would think is very upset in how the season played out.

There were many issues that I as a novice of the game saw throughout the season. The biggest issue I saw was the lack of an offensive line. The unit was filled with players who were not as skilled as necessary and did not perform as well as expected. There was a stat that I saw a few weeks back that basically said out of the 849 offensive linemen that have played 20% of their teams stats, the highest ranked performer on FSU's offensive line was ranked in the 400's and this was a guy who was playing injured. FSU had 3 players that ranked in the last percentile in terms of their ranking. It is extremely tough to win football games when your quarterback has zero time and can't push any defensive lineman unit around.
