Liverpool complete transfer of Monaco midfielder
Premier League club Liverpool has officially announced the transfer of Monaco midfielder Fabinho. The Reds will pay almost 45m for the Brazilian player, 5m of which are planned as bonuses.
Fabinho's name has been connected with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for a long time, but the player's desire was to play under Jurgen Klopp's management. This transfer almost completes the transfer of Emre Can to Juventus. Fabinho and the other new signing of Liverpool Naby Keita will miss the World Cup.
The Brazilian made 233 appearances for Monaco and scored 31 goals in all competitions. He won Ligue 1 with the Monégasques in the 2016/17 season.

Good move for LFC, I am a United fan and I regret that our board missed out on Fabinho. Bery good defender and LFC needs that.. + of course a goalkeeper if they want to be back to the top. Cant wait for next seanson!
And with Naby Keita Liverpool will be stronger next year.
True, I am looking forward for United transfers now as well as other premier league clubs. We need to be back top of Europe and end the domination of La Liga clubs.
Mourinho needs to bring up a few new players and to release some of the current immediately.

Shaw's career has gone very downhill but he still can show what he did at Southampton.
Yeah, hopefully. Do u think it is Mourinho fault? because I don’t really think it is. Mourinho is a manager that has a tactic that needs certain players with certain abilities. Look at Matic, he is a guy that Mourinho is a fan of, and that is a player that he needed to his “puzzle”
The bad part of Jose is that he is often playing very defensively.
Surely a nice transfer for Liverpool, with Emre Can's leave they will certainly need this player.
Emre Can will be strongly missed but I think Fabinho is the right man.
I couldn't believe this when I heard it at first. There were reports in the media Liverpool were interested in him, then under 1 hour later he was in a Liverpool shirt leaning for photo's at Melwood.
He is a really awesome signing! I posted before how I would love Can to stay, and I still would as we do need a bit of depth. But Fabinho coming in is a massive upgrade. With him, Kieta, Henderson, Chamberlain, Milner and Wijnaldum Liverpool will have a strong midfield even if Can leaves.
Totally agree with you, Fabinho will be perfect for Liverpool as he is very versatile.
