FC Barcelona is Close to Clinching Laliga Title with a 2-0 Win vs Alaves

As FC Barcelona continues their dominance in the La Liga, they now have nine points clear ahead runner-up Atletico Madrid and fifteen points clear from Real Madrid. Their recent win against Alaves at Estadio Mendizorroza provided a security in winning the league. In fact, if Atletico Madrid loses their upcoming match Barcelona can be crowned as the Champions at home in their next match.


An opening goal by Alena (54') gave Barca the lead and six minutes after, another goal was added by Luis Suarez via penalty (60') which made them 2 - 0 ahead until the time run out. It was also a dominant win in possession as 77% of the possession are owned by Barcelona which it produced 768 total passes in a game. They also shot 16 in which 6 of them were shots on target (2 were converted to goals).

It can be seen in the match the Valverde let Messi, Rakitic, and Jordi Alba at rest to prepare their match against Liverpool (Champions League semi-final) on the 8th of May. They will truly have a good rest as they are clearly the winners of La Liga which will mean they can prepare a lot than Liverpool (which is in a tight race against City for the Premier League title). This is again another exciting football to watch and personally I'm in for Barcelona (a solid Barca fan since I started watching football).
