My twist of Fresh Pineapple Smoothie and its Health Benefits

Fruits are a good source of vitamins and minerals, which are vital for our health. Everyday, it is recommended for us to include this in our diet. Based on research, people who eat fruit as part of their diet generally have a reduced risk of chronic diseases.

Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite smoothie, the Fresh Pineapple with Peppermint. I always love pineapples, especially we have one of the best and the sweetest pineapple in the country, here in our place.


Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh pineapple, cut into slices or chunks
  • 1/2 cup fresh peppermint leaves
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 1 tbsp fresh milk (optional)

Procedure:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend until smooth and frothy.
  • Serve it immediately.

You can enjoy this with your friends and family. You may also try with banana, mangoes and strawberry. You can experiment with different kinds of fruits, it's up for you to choose your own combination. You can add ice chips on the ingredients, if you want something cold. 😊


Furthermore, I will point some important facts about these two powerful ingredients, based on my research.

Pineapple is known to have rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, fiber and antioxidant. Despite of their sweetness, they are low in calories. We can also get lots of health benefits to our body with this tropical fruit.

Peppermint is known for its pleasant taste and is a popular flavoring for food and drink. It is also used everywhere, like perfume, toothpaste, aromatherapy, insecticide and cosmetics. But beyond this, it has a wide variety of health and medicinal uses.

  • Strengthen the liver
  • Cool the body temperature
  • Asthma management
  • Good for dental hygiene
  • Eliminate mucus
  • Management for Acne
  • Relieve irritable bowel syndrome
