Caribbean Food: Bienvenidos a Costa Rica!

You can´t leave Costa Rica without having Gallo Pinto or simply Rice n' Beans!

From my experience it is the most traditional Costa Rican dish. The rice, beans, onions, red peppers and cilantro are slowly blended and marriend together. It is served with eggs, salad, sweet plantains and corn tortillas.

You can get this meal in soda - cheap restaurant serving traditional cuisine with friendly atmosphere and some reggeae music playing in background.

Costa Rican food is very simple and delicious. A lot of the foods I have eaten ther are almost like Mexican food (where I live now), but not so spicy - without Jalapeno ;)
