Guess what my daughter cooked for lunch today?
Pink Salmon!
Pink Salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) are cold water fish and are the smallest among the Pacific salmon found in North America. They average around 2.2 kilos in weight and about 20 - 24 inches in length. They are imported mostly from the USA and are sold frozen and vacuum packed in supermarkets here in the Philippines. They are a bit expensive but worth every cent in their goodness and flavor.

The garnishings were a perfect complement.
Note the pinkish color of the fish.

This was gone in like 5 minutes. Yum yummy! We're gonna have an encore in a very very short time.

You are absolutely correct. Anything pink salmon is yummy, whether they be canned or frozen or fresh (although I have not eaten fresh salmon, only canned and frozen.) Glad you can relate to the gone in five minutes ha ha ha. It's like now you see it, now you don't.

hahahahaha same here... i have not tried the canned ones. I still go for the fresh one at the market and cooked it at home. I have not eaten it raw too..
When hunger strikes five minutes is top most for the food to disappear! hahahahahha.. especially if you are too many who will share the food.

Salmon is one of my favorite meals. Ii often cook it because it is a quick and easy dinner. Even Furball loves it!

You are lucky you can often cook and eat this wonderful meal. Here, it's like a special occasion when we have this because it's a bit steep price-wise. Furball is sure one lucky and happy dog : )
