It is very common to accompany food and drinking here in Korea and you wont find me complaining one bit :)
Some popular side dishes are chicken, sausage, fruit, chips, fries...and dried squid.

Last night we had a few drinks and were lucky enough to receive dried squid (오징어) as a service or 'free of charge' and it was quite delicious. If it's your first time trying it, it may take some getting used to but I find it to be a tasty treat and nice to chew on. Give it a shot if you have the chance.
