„Bak kut teh” is a traditional Malaysian soup served for breakfast to port workers. Because it has a lot of calories, it gave them a lot of energy to work.

Soup has an incredibly complex taste and beautiful, brown color. It is cooked on the base of pork ribs and different plucks, which give it a unique taste. It is seasoned with herbs and soy sauce.

It is served with rice and special bread that reminds in taste waffles. The bread is soaked in hot soup and then caught together with the pieces of meat and placed in a bowl of rice. Additives include soy sauce in a regular and thick variety, chilli peppers and freshly chopped garlic, which perfectly matches the taste of the meat broth. Who would order it? 😉
