Chicken in Ginger Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast without skin;
- a piece of ginger (about 3 cm);
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 1 teaspoon ground red pepper;
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander;
- 1 lime;
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- 1 onion;
- 1 chili;
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric;
- 280 ml of thick cream;
- ½ lemon;
- salt - to taste.
Cooking
Cut the breast into cubes. Peel the ginger and chop it and garlic. Put chicken, ginger, garlic, ground pepper, coriander, lime juice and a tablespoon of oil in a bowl and mix. Leave on for 10–15 minutes. Put the chicken and marinade on a pre-heated pan and fry for 6–8 minutes, turning over periodically.
Heat the remaining oil in another pan and cook the chopped onion and chilli on it for 3-4 minutes. Add turmeric and mix well. Reduce heat, pour in cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Then put the chicken with the marinade and simmer another 5 minutes. Sprinkle with lemon juice and season with salt.
The dish goes well with rice .
