Sugar coated cashew nuts, delicious Thai Dessert
I think most of you know cashew nuts well. And I’m quite sure that it is one of most people’s favorite snacks. You may bake cashew nuts with salt or add them in your salad or other foods, etc.
But, I don’t think you have ever tried this one. It is ancient Thai desserts that are hard to find nowadays, only in the South of Thailand. Its name in Thai is too long and difficult to pronounce in English, Med-Ma-Muang-Himapan-Charp-Nam-Tarn. It can be described as sugar coated cashew nuts for your better understanding.
We put the cashew nuts on cashew leaves and pour dark brown sugar (in liquid) on them. The dessert is sticky, sweet and delicious. Um…..I have just finished eating them in a minute!
I must say many thanks to my sister who visited me last week and gave these to me as she knows that it is one of my favorite desserts.
