How many fruits and vegetables you need daily

Nutritionists around the world are unanimous for one - fruits and vegetables should be eaten daily.

To be healthy, it is necessary to eat not less than five servings a day.
But how can this be done to prevent any carrot or apple from becoming a necessary remedy, but to remain enjoyable and desirable?

Some easy ways to enter daily consumption of fruits and vegetables in your menu.

How much do we need to be healthy?


So all kinds of fruits and vegetables are available and there is a question in front of you - a portion: how much is that?

For a portion, it is accepted to consider the amount of vegetables or fruits that are placed in your palm.
Fruit Portion - this is an average apple, banana, orange, peach, three apricots.

Portion vegetables can include a medium-sized carrot or medium-sized pepper, tomato.

If you think in grams, your portion should consist of about 400 g of vegetables and 300 g of fruit per day. But if you want to eat more, it can only be welcomed.

But we are not talking about potatoes.

How can you diversify these five servings?


They can include virtually all fruits and vegetables. The sure plus is that you do not have to change the way you eat. Because probably a few portions are already present in your daily diet - in soups, sandwiches, salads.

Artificial vitamin supplements and minerals are also not considered as a portion because they are not comparable to fresh produce by nutritional value.

And yet another accent - pay attention to the color of fruits and vegetables - the brighter they are, the greater a number of vitamins they possess.

@suggeelson - I always knew I should incorporate fruit and veggies in my diet but had no idea how much. More importantly, I did not know how easy it is to decide portions and keep track. Most dietitians talk in grams and milligrams. That is difficult to measure. Your blog explains a simpler way, Thanks. Upvoted full

After doing some extensive research, just gotta be careful about carb consumption. Even healthy foods you can eat too much of and gain weight. You still collect the health benefits, bit usually eating healthy the goal is somewhat body image as well. Eat less starchy vegetables and more green. Fruit go for berries over the others

The rule is - if is green you can eat until overeating.

It is important to eat fruits and vegetables daily to strengthen the body's immunity and to have energy. there are so many varieties that delight us with their tastes and colors
