Foodie For Life #8 Hong Pao Authenic Chinese Cuisine - Central Embassy

You guys are up for a treat today !. This restaurant I am taking you to join is very famous among Chinese food lovers.
I wasn't exposed to Chinese food much as a child. My parents cooked at home a lot. So at the beginning of trying it out, it was pretty heavy. However as I grew older, I got more foned of this cuisine. It's a nice selection to reward yourself after a long week of hard work.
The decoration is classy, yet simple with over 20 tables.
Everytime I come at a Chinese Restaurant I would order a Chrysanthemum Tea or Flower tea.
Believe it or not, this flower is filled with health benefits. Chrysanthemum is used to treat chest pain, high blood pressure, some types of diabetes, fever, cold, headache, dizziness, and swelling. Chrysanthemum is very popular as a summertime tea.
....And it taste great 😋
The Menu includes so many dishes... I will show you my favorites
Taro Dumpling
Taro dumplings are made from taro that is steamed and mashed, stuffed with diced mushrooms, shrimpand pork, then finally deep fried.
Drunken Chicken
I have been told that they call this drunken chicken because the chicken should be fed with grains and seeds that are soaked in rice wine. The texture and flavour of the meat Is rich as they cook it with Chinese liquor added.
Tofu Curry
I love Tofu in general. This dish is not spicy like it looks. They mixed the sauce with prawn and it taste amazing with rice. 😍
Peking Duck
Is mouth watering. The Chinese invented this menu since the imperial era. The thin, crisp skin are eaten with spring onion, cucumber and sweet bean sauce with pancakes rolled around the fillings. The meat part can be cooked many different ways depending on the restaurant offering. We chosen stir fried with black pepper.
We couldn't even order any dim sum nor those delicious buns. Forget dessert, the food was so good that we didn't leave any room for the rest. If you come to this restaurant on the weekend, I recommend making reservations.
