I'm like you, when I read about the Basil with dessert... I would have never thought of doing something like that. Makes me want to dig and find a recipe with it, just to try it. LOL!
It's good to hear you guys had a nice time! The idea of going somewhere super fancy once a year doesn't sound so bad. I may have to adventure on this idea!
The Basil seemed to be really good with the fruits and the citrus ice-cream/sorbet.
Definitely a restaurant treat once in a while is something I can recommend! Especially with kids, it's nice to dress up and go out! (without the kids)
