Brussels sprouts with mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • brussels sprouts - 300 grams
  • boiled oyster mushrooms - 500 grams
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • oil - 20 grams
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • a pinch of ginger
  • 100 ml cream
  • oil
  • salt
  • pepper

1. Boil the Brussels sprouts in salted water for 3-5 minutes

2. Grate carrots on a fine grater, onion diced

3. Stew the onions at low heat in vegetable oil with the addition of butter for 1-2 minutes, then add carrots  and stew additional 2 minutes.

4. Add the mushrooms and Brussels sprouts, stew for 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, ginger, nutmeg and cream to taste.

5. Hold for a few seconds - and all food is prepared.

You sure make them look delicious! I like oyster mushrooms because they stay substantial. Were these wild mushrooms that you got by #foraging? Or did someone grow them - here in the US Pacific Northwest, we can get kits to grow mushrooms. I have given them to my dad, for different varieties of oyster mushrooms, pink ones, gray ones, white ones. Or can you buy these Oyster mushrooms at the store where you are?
