A quick tea cake

Ingredients:
Powdered sugar - half a cup
All purpose flour - 3/4 cup
Chocolate powder or syrup - 1/4 cup
Melted butter or oil - 4 tablespoons
Vanilla extract or essence - half teaspoon
BAking soda - half teaspoon
Vinegar - half teaspoon
Water - half cup
Milk - two tablespoons
Note - if you are vegan, you can replace the butter with rice bran oil and the milk with vegan options
You can also add nuts or fruits. I did not have any around and so I did not use it this time.
Method:
Beat the butter and sugar and add in the vanilla, water, vinegar and chocolate syrup. If you are using chocolate powder, sieve it along with the dry ingredients.
After mixing this thoroughly, fold in the dry ingredients which should be sieved together. The flour, baking soda and the chocolate powder.
Pour it into a greased cake tin and bake for 30 minutes at 220 degrees in a preheated oven.
The baking time may vary from oven to oven. It is best to check after about twenty minutes or so.

The cake looks an extra bit brown but that is because I kept it in the oven for ten minutes more to get a harder crust.
