Steemit Culinary Challenge #11: Peas in a bun

For this challenge i decided to make a cheeseless burger with my favourite meal. Fish and chips.

(Suitable for vegetarians who eat fish)

Because i am not eating white potato at the moment i compromised with the chips bit.

So here goes:

Ingredients

1 can of mushy peas

2 tsb Flour

Skimmed milk

2 burger buns

1 Lemon

Dill 

Cod Fish portions

Method

  • Put any side dish's in the oven. I popped in a few sweet potato fries instead of my usual chips.
  • Make a small amount of batter out of flour and water until batter is like a thick cream. Roll peas into balls, and then cover in batter. Then roll them in flour, before popping them into quarter inch of olive oil and cooking until golden brown.
  • Pan fry fish in a little milk and season with dill and lemon juice until cooked thoroughly.
  • Toast the seeded baps and place fish on top followed  by a pea fritter.

Serve with fries tarter sauce and lemon.

So the burgers are the peas and you just added the pan fried cod fish in the bun? If it is then yes, it is acknowledged although we were hoping that the pea burgers were the only star - this is also allowed so don't worry.

Thank you ! Yes the peas i thought was the main difference, fish burgers quite common. I am just happy to give it a go :-)
