Nanchan Temple's Food Street, Wuxi

Nanchan Temple is a large commercial area with a small but historic Buddhist temple. It's also alongside a canal that eventually links to the Wuxi portion of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.

The food here is typically from all over China, but seafood seems to be one of the more popular options. 

Some of the stuff here can be fairly simple ... like new potatoes and slabs of tofu. 

This line was for pig's feet.

This was also the first time I saw something that resembled something like a whole pig. 

 Then, of course, you have some of the more traditional, local Wuxi snacks like xiaolongbao buns. 

Pedestrian food streets such as this are common in most Chinese cities. This one is one of the more well trafficked one in Wuxi. Also, some of the bars and night life locations are in walking distance.
