The One and Only - Hummingbird Bakery / 美哒哒的Hummingbird蛋糕店
It is traditionally said, sweets can change your mood and help make you feel infinitely better. Therefore, today I would like to introduce a fantastic cake shop in the heart of London called the Hummingbird Bakery.
The Hummingbird Bakery located just alongside Portobello Market is a haven for great tasting cakes and edible gifts. Introduced to them by one of my good friends, I’ve never looked back when it comes to purchasing incredible looking birthday cakes or similar treats for other such special occasions. They have a huge selection of customisable products available in a variety of flavours and designs. They even do embossed, personalized cupcakes within their range of services.
There are altogether six Hummingbird bakeries scattered across London, though the one on Portobello Road is the nearest to me and was the first one to open its doors to the public. What’s even better is that they are open seven days a week and provide a delivery service should you need your cake to be sent to a particular address within a specified time. Very convenient!
Their main speciality is in American-style cupcakes and desserts, but this also extends to a delicious range of layered cakes, beautiful chocolate brownies, pies and an assortment of cheesecakes. However, I personally feel that their star presentation has got to be the “Red Velvet” cake they offer. The silky, smooth and soft texture combined with the unique flavour of the cake itself will set your taste buds alight. The creamy icing on the top is the perfect covering which adds immeasurably to the already mouth-watering treat. It really must be tried to be believe how good it really is. You will become a fan, theirs is no doubting that!

Being near the“Valentine’s Day” and all, I visited this great little shop expecting to see a very “loved up” theme. I was not disappointed. So many cakes with hearts and cupid’s bow and arrow were literally everywhere I looked. I spotted some extremely tempting cupcakes which I couldn’t resist.
All in all, this fantastic shop mixed in with “Valentine’s Day” is the greatest blend of blissful heaven I can think of for this special occasion. The perfect desserts enjoyed with your loved one can lead to a very memorable evening together. Thank you, Hummingbird Bakery, for helping create the ultimate February the 14th for me!

在伦敦一共有六家连锁店，而在Portobello市集之家离我最近，也是第一个向公众开放的。更方便的是，他们一周七天都开，并提供送货服务，可以保证把蛋糕在你指定的时间内发送到特定地址。
他们家的主打产品是美国式的纸杯蛋糕和甜点，但这也延伸到更大范围的各类精美蛋糕，例如美丽的巧克力布朗尼，馅饼和各种各样的乳酪蛋糕。然而，最出名的要数红丝绒被子蛋糕(red Velvet Cake)。蛋糕像丝般柔滑，吃起来异常蓬松柔软，其中可可粉的加入，使得蛋糕体口味浓郁。而顶部的奶酪奶油又不同于普通奶油，口感层级丰富。你真的要尝过才知道它有多美味！
碰巧情人节前夕，我怀着期待的心情来到店里。它果然没有让我失望，这里有好多好多的“爱心”蛋糕，非常诱人，让我最终无法抗拒，捧了一个大盒子回家，哈哈。
总而言之，这个梦幻般的蛋糕店与“情人节”在我看来是完美的结合。与心爱的人享受美味的甜点，一起度过一个难忘的情人节夜晚，想想好浪漫哦！真心感谢Hummingbird蛋糕店为我们创造最美好难忘的2月14日。
