A Hidden Gem For The Perfect English Breakfast

There is no better way to enjoy a nice relaxing Sunday than to indulge in a lengthy brunch. I find that sometimes I just crave a traditional full English breakfast. Last week, I literally had the best all day breakfast at a restaurant called "The Parlour" in Kensal Rise, which I would love to share with all the steemians here.

The Parlour is a striking & innovative all-day bar bursting with style & amazing food. It is tucked away in a tiny lane off one of the main road nearby. I would not have known about it if my friend had not recommended it.

Great decor inside, with homely-industrial furnishings, "The Parlour" provides a cosy and pleasant setting in which to unwind and revel in the serene environment.

It also has a very nice backdoor garden for the summer. Unfortunately, it was raining on my visit there and we were not able to enjoy the outside garden. Next time!

The menu is quite varied, yet fabulous! The food is made with lots of love and pride. These include delicious meat, fish and vegetarian choices as well as dishes for the kids. They even provide children with crayons to keep them occupied so I considered them quite family friendly.

As I mnetioned, we went there for brunch and I loved the full English Breakfast, with Peppery Yorkshire sausage, perfectly crisp bacon, generously flavoursome baked beans, golden-yolked pouch eggs and tantalizing home-style-hash brown cakes…So yummy!!

And definitely don’t miss out on the all-you-can-eat DIY toast, including all sorts of breads to cater for the patrons different requirements. The soda bread was simply scrumptious!

The coffee was also blended to perfection. Staff members recommended oat meal instead of the soy milk I normally have so I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tastes.

My husband also really enjoyed the in-house smoked salmon with scrambled egg. The smoked salmon is divine. I believe it is cured in house which was a real delight!

The place serves very high quality food without having to trudge all the way to Central London or Notting Hill and the atmosphere is silky smooth and chilled. Can't wait to revisit again soon for another fabulous meal.
