AN INTRODUCTION TO PASSIONFRUIT - "THE FRUIT SNACK OF THE FOREST!"
We love these plants!!!
When I first met this plant, I simply thought it was a pretty flower. Now, we are getting to understand it on a much deeper level, and we've got tons growing on our land. In this video I simply desire to provide others with a brief introduction to this plant, and inspire them to look into it more if they desire. Personally, it's one of our favorite wild edibles, which is why we were pleased to let it volunteer in our garden.
And the flowers of these fruits look just amaaazing!! Great to see you on the ecotrain tag pappa-pepper!
I LURVE passionfruits and yup, they're in season and falling everywhere here. I'm adding some of the juice (minus seeds) to my kombucha batch later. SOOOO good! And yes, the AROMA. Nothing like it!!
I love the juice made out of it. It's sour taste but with little sure it is perfect. Seeds are no no. Lot's of seed less of pulp.
Your plants look amazing! I think mine's given up the ghost. I knew about passion fruit when I got it, but it was still the flowers I got it for. It was doing okay and growingn't well this summer, but now it's looking brown. :(

Yours does not seem to turn reddish when mature or is the dried up ones just on a dead branch?
I love them and they are supposed to be really good for your health as well.
