Dining in Melbourne at Trattoria il Casolare

Last night, my family and I went out for dinner with my good friends @snooway and two other friends. I had a craving for Italian food, so we decided to check out this Italian place in the Melbourne suburbs. We decided to go there because @snooway found a 20% discount voucher for the restaurant.

The service was very friendly and it was a really warm atmosphere to share a nice dinner with friends. We decided to go for two pizzas, two pastas and a salad to share between the 5 of us plus my son, although he preferred to play with the food rather than eating it.

For pizzas we ordered a mushroom pizza and a prosciutto pizza. Both wood fire pizzas were delicious. I loved the cheese and especially the prosciutto pizza.

However the pastas were very disappointing. The seafood pasta we ordered was way too salty, and the flavour of the lamb in the lamb ragu was too overpowering for my liking.

For dessert we ordered a tiramisu. As usual, the dessert won my heart. The creaminess of the tiramisu along with the beautiful chocolate flavors was a perfect ending to the meal.
