1. Ghee

The clarified butter, the Ghee has all milk solids and buttermilk removed. Further, ghee is actually easy to digest.
Also called "liquid gold" so famous in India for its therapeutic qualities, both taken internally and applied externally on the skin. It is part of the food of the Hindu people since time immemorial; We already find it quoted in the ancient texts of Vedic science and in the Rig Veda it is considered sacred and pure.

2. Cow´s milk

Cows are sacred in India and cow's milk is considered a highly balanced food. But let's buy non-homogenized, organic or biodynamic milk, do not buy industrialized milk.
It is important to consume hot milk, preferably with spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper or ginger because this way we improve their digestion and the nutritional properties of it.

If you can not consume cow's milk or if you are vegan, it is not a problem, there are seven more Ayurvedic superfoods in the following list that I present to you!

3. Basmati Rice

Basmati rice is balanced for the body, is nutritious and is also light and easily digested, so it is recommended for those who have problems with digestion.
Its grain is long and has a lot of fragrance compared to other rices, I would say that it is easy to recognize because of its original fragrance and delicate flavor, it cooks very quickly and is delicious!

4. Dates

Datiles are very nutritious, they are also very rich, heavy and difficult to digest. The fact that they are "super" does not imply that we have to eat them in many quantities. Eat two dates a day, no more !. Keep in mind that in addition if we eat many what we do is activate too much our digestive fire.

5. Almonds

Almonds are also an Ayurvedic top food. Almonds are also a heavy and rich food, so do not overdo them either, a good doses will be 10 or 12 a day. Submerge in boiling water makes them less heavy and easier to digest, it is convenient to leave them submerged during the night, it is convenient to whiten them (by removing the skin) and dry them. An excellent way to take the daily dose is toast dry mixing with oatmeal. Delicious!

6. Honey

Honey is very nutritious for our food, our own nectar of life. We must seek that the honey we buy does not have heat treatment. Ayurveda teaches that when honey is heated at high temperatures, its chemical composition is altered, which hinders its digestion, with a tendency to block channels.
That is why we should always look for good quality honey that has been subjected to minimal processing and not cook with it.
Eating it in moderation is also the key because it ends up being heavy and increases our digestive fire by altering the system.

7. Ginger

The Ginger is a spice, of the Top Ayurvedic. Although it is not considered nutritious for the organism, it balances the digestive fire of the body. Eating the ginger in combination with the rest of the mentioned foods will make it easier to digest too!

8. Saffron

Another of our top Ayurvedic foods is the Saffron, it is one of the most venerated exotic spices. Saffron has a strong medicinal action on blood, heart and reproductive system, and potentiates the action of any other substance with which it is consumed. One to five strands per day is enough and is better digested after submerging in warm milk. Do not boil the saffron, as it contains very beneficial volatile oils that will be lost.
