Man in the Kitchen #3 - Healthy Protein Pancakes (low fat and carbs)

Hello everybody!

In todays "Man in the Kitchen" I wan to share with you my new recipe for healthy baked pancakes with cheese!
I got this idea yesterday and I tried it immediately... I was so suprised how delicious it is!
Pancakes are made of egg whites with integral flour (or minced oats, corn flour...), cheese with egg, grated lemon and sweetener, so this meal is ideal for any diet, just adjust portion to your goals!

Ingredients:
For pancake mixture:

  • 500 grams of egg whites
  • 100 grams of integral flour (I used corn flour)
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 egg (optional)

For filling:

  • 500 grams of low-fat cheese
  • sweetener (natren or stevia)
  • 1 egg
  • grated lemon

Dressing:

  • 150 ml of yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 egg

Step 1
Add flour and watter to the bowl and mix it.

Add egg whites, one egg, pinch of baking powder, pinch of salt and if you want a vanilla sugar and mix it again.

Bake pancake like usual.

Step 2
Add cheese, egg, sweetener and grated lemon in bowl and mix it well.

Fill each pancake and place it on baking paper.

Mix the yogurt and egg and cover the pancakes

Step 3
Bake at 200°C for about 20 minutes.

Every pancake is full of proteins with low dose of fat and carbs. This meal is ideal for every day! It's also ideal for food on the road, for meal on your work, school...
