Giant Quail Egg with 3 Yolks Photo Shoot
Up here on the farm, every so often we get something unique. Twins happen in nature and that includes in eggs. Yesterday we got the biggest quail egg either of us had ever seen. I went and looked at the quail it came from, one of the new batch and I had a hard time figuring out how that large of an egg could come out of such small birds. We don't know which one did it for sure, only that it was one of the new batch.
You can find a couple different things inside an egg larger than usual from several yolks to a whole other egg, shell and all. Crazy things can and do happen, as this shows.
It turned out this one had three yolks in it, how crazy!

I've only seen a triple yolk once and it was a chicken egg. A quail doing the same thing is astounding!
