RE: IF WE DON’T EAT THEM, THEY’LL GO EXTINCT - WHY THE ONLY WAY TO PRESERVE SOME SPECIES OF ANIMALS IS TO EAT THEM

in #food8 years ago

The way you are saying it and doing it is the only right way. I personally have lots of pets and couldn't kill one of them for meat. But eating meat from store feels so bigoted (double-faced). This what you is a natural way of living. Because you don't kill more than you need for profit, just for food, like animals do. I feel that in a case of catastrophe humankind would die out because a modern man can't hunt, find his own water and even live without electricity. Living these days is too easy and is not the way we should live since you can tend to all your needs when you earn money and you don't have to know anything that is really important.

Great point leksimus, I have witnessed first hand how the general public (in the US anyway) is completely disconnected from their food. Most folks don't have any idea that their hamburger, steak or pork chop came from a living animal. The consumer hears buzzwords like "organic" "heirloom breed" or "gluten free" and really just want to be part of the movement, but not really what all those words mean.
It's a tough sell to try and out talk Oprah or Dr. Oz!
