Frequent Traveller #125: Germanwings and a closed Lounge
Closed Lounge
When I arrived at Berlin Tegel (TXL) Airport I realized that taking a very early flight is a bad idea. I went to the Lounge but the Lounge only opens at 7am. My flight was at 6:30am.. It was good I went to the Security Checkpoint early, as they were doing random sweeps of bags which took a bit longer.
Germanwings
With Airberlin just having filed bankruptcy it was good to try out Germanwings because I might end up flying them a bit more. I really liked that Germanwings has free internet on board right now. I bought some Dutyfree Vodka and a Fresh Orange Juice and a Brezel for me and my friend. It is incredible how expensive that was. Usually I get everything for free in the Airline Lounges so paying 6.5 Euro for a Brezel and 5 Euro for a drink felt like getting ripped off.
Do you buy food in airports or do yo take your own from home ???

i prefer taking something wmall with me but other things i would buy at the airport so I dont have to drag it all with me. But it is true they really rip you off.

I never buy from airports as they sell things much more than the market price. Either i take some food outside of airport or eat as much as for free once the flight takes off.

I totally get you man, one of the most thing I enjoy about airplanes is drinking a coffee with a sandwich while I wat to my flight. I remember spending 3 hs last time eating pizza in Pizza Hut, lol.
How dare they to close the lounge :D
