Fried sweet dough with sugar syrup - Turkish Tulumba - Turkish dessert 🍨
Ingredients
2 cups water
2 tablespoons of butter
3 eggs
2.5 cups flour
1 tablespoons of starch
3 tablespoons semolina
For the syrup
3 cups sugar
2 cups water
a tablespoon lemon juice
Pour the water into the pot and meld unsalted butter in the hot water. Add flour and mix it on the medium heat. When it become unsticky and soft transfer the dough to another bowl so that it cools down quickly. Please follow those pictures below.

Fort he syrup :
Transfer water into a large pot over medium heat. Add sugar and mix it. When it starts boiling add lemon juice and turn the heat off.
Now transfer the cooled dough to the mixing bowl machine if you don’t have that, you can mix it with your hand or wooden spoon, add semolina and strach and then start add the eggs gradually. Mix it well until it will become smooth. And the fill your piping bag with the dough. Pour 1 cup of olive oil to the pot and pipe the dough into frying oil, cut the dough with an oiled scisssor and turn up the heat low temparature. When they are fully browned, take them out and direcly transfer into sweet syrup. After two minutes, take them out of the syrup and transfer into a plate.
