Welcome to my Trave & Food.
Today I´m going share a recent recipe I´ve cooked weeks back. It ´s a very quick and wonderful looking dish once you have friends at home or you want to cook something for your special​​ ones.

Firstly let´s talk about the food we are going to learn today. The dish we will be discussing here is "CREAMY SQUIDS".

Squid also called "Calamari" and It´s very famous in Spain, Portugal, and United States of America.
Eating Squid has lots of health benefits. like,

  • It has low carbohydrate which helps you Keeps in shape.
  • Lower Cholesterol Level.
  • Fight cancer and tumor.
  • Reducing the chance of migraine.
  • Decrease chance of stroke and heart disease.
    So just adding squids in your diet could help you gain a lot of health benefit.

Here is my 5 simple way to cook a really delicious squid dish.

"INGREDIENTS"

Squid 400g cleaned, Medium size one onion chopped, 3 garlic cloves crushed, A slice of ginger crushed (20g), Olive oil, Salt, Cinamon stick, one fresh tomato chopped or 2 tbsp of tomato puree, 1/2 tbsp turmeric, 1/2 tbsp cumin powder, one cup of buttermilk.
For decoration, you could use paper and lemon.

"METHOD"

  • Heat the oil in a wok or sturdy pan set over a medium heat. Combine with chopped onion, salt, garlic, ginger, and cinnamon cook it at least 5/6 minutes.
  • Once onion looks brown add tomato puree or chopped tomato cook for 2/3 minutes.
  • After add turmeric and cumin powder wait, 10/15 sec then add a half cup of water cook for 5 minutes.
  • Once water gets dry a bit add your squid cook another 10/15 minutes high heat.
  • Last step add your buttermilk and cook for another 5/7 minutes and it´s ready.

(you can add some sugar if you like but I normally don´t suggest because of sugar is less healthy)

"Don´t forget to put some fancy decoration before you serve" :)
