The Bacon, Egg & Cheese Crumpet Sandwich

First off, I would like to thank @mattclarke for introducing me to the wonders of a crumpet.

After I finished the first crumpet my head was full of endless possibilities. This could be the base for many things, from breakfast sandwiches, to burgers. I had to get to work creating American-style crumpet dishes. Here is where I begin:

What you will need:

• 2 Crumpets
• A Mound of Bacon
• Shredded Cheese of Your Choice ( I chose a Carmelized Onion Cheddar from Trader Joe's)
• 1 Large Egg
• Butter

Start by Cooking the Bacon

I fried on the stove top, but some people prefer cooking bacon in the oven.

Shred The Cheese (Or Use Slices)

You can use whatever cheese you like.

Fry The Egg

When the bacon is complete you should begin frying the egg. At this time you can pop the crumpets into a toaster. Cook the egg to your own desires, some people like a runny yolk and others do not.

Butter the Crumpet & Melt the Cheese

Spread some butter on top of both crumpets. Cover them with the shredded cheese and pop them back into the toaster until melted.

Cover the Melted Cheese with a Layer of Crispy Bacon

The cheese will hold the sandwich together

Add the Egg

I put a tiny bit of sea salt and some fresh cracked black pepper onto my eggs for added taste.

Top off the Sandwich with the Second Crumpet

This is when your mouth really starts to water
