Preparation Of Fried Rice

We all have to admit that Jollof rice is the most popular of meals served at Nigerian parties. However, that does no mean that other meals served are of less quality. One of the other meals commonly served at Nigerian parties is the Fried rice. Until quite recently, fried rice was a meal reserved for nobles at the parties. It should be noted that fried rice isn't a meal restricted to parties alone but is also widely eaten in various Nigerian homes.
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR PREPARING FRIED RICE
- Rice
- Green beans
- Chopped carrot
- Chopped cabbage
- Sliced green pepper
- Liver
- Meat Stock
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
- Seasoning cubes
PREPARATION OF FRIED RICE
- Parboil the rice for about twelve minyes.
- Heat up a pot for a short while and pour in a substantial amount of groundnut oil, leaving it to heat for a while.
- Throw in the onions, and stir for a short while before adding the green beans, carrot and cabbage.
- Add the curry and thyme, meat stock and chopped liver. After this, add salt and seasoning cubes to taste.
- Add the pepper to the mixture.
- Pour in the previously parboiled rice into the pot, stir together.
- Cover the pot and allow to cook for about 5 minutes.
If you have followed the above directions religiously, congratulation you just made yourself a delicious pot of rice.
