Fudgy Brownie with Triple Chocolate Chunks - Recipe
Hello friends,
It's Friyay!!!!! Week end is in the corner. That means relax time for me. And by relax time, that means busy experimenting in the kitchen :-D I'll be alone at home this week end, because my partner will spend his week end with his friends in Ostend, a Belgian coastal city. They are having game night so yeah, I'll have a lot of time for myself :-)
Today I will share you the recipe of my favorite brownie. I always use this recipe and I sometimes add different topping on top such ass: chocolate chips, almond slices, chocolate chunks or anything that you like. The last time I made brownies, it was for a friend's farewell and birthday party. If you remember my chocolate beer cake from my previous post, this brownie was made for the same occasion. I made two times of the recipe below. As shown in the photos, the pan looks big and the brownie looks thick.
Without any ado, let's check out the recipe. Shall we?
Ingredients
- 115 gr salted butter
- 228 gr dark chocolate (I used 54,5% cacao from Callebaut)
- 150 gr granulated sugar
- 50 gr dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 80 gr all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- triple chocolate chunks (as needed)
Methods
- In a clean and heatproof bowl, place butter and chocolate, melt them in bain-marie and stir occasionally. Once melted, leave it to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C, line a square or rectangle pan with a parchment paper, leave an overhang all sides, set aside.
- Whisk granulated sugar and dark brown sugar to the cooled mixture, add in eggs, one at a time followed by vanilla extract. Add in all purpose flour, cacao powder and salt, mix well. Pour batter into the pan, and sprinkle the triple chocolate chunks on top of the batter.
- Bake for 35 minutes. After 30 minutes, you may check your brownies by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean, it's ready. Leave the brownies to cool completely before cutting it.
PS: Please make sure that you take out the pan from the oven once it's done. I got distracted and I left my brownies in the oven when it's done. As you see, the top of my brownies looks very dry. It's still good though. It's just a little bit crunchy on the outside.
