Meal for a perfect day

Being a doctor I Know the importance of healthy food habits but after all I am a normal human being who crave for unhealthy junk food. Smell and sight of pizza,Indian chat, chocolate,cookies,ice cream wow....

But after all we have to take care of our body. It's the only place we have to live in.

After having a duration of days with unhealthy meals,I realized that OMG I am heading slowly towards an unhealthy food habit.and suddenly I decided to switch on diet food and exercise to loose some weight. But you know it's too difficult to starve to loose weight.

So what should be an ideal meal for a healthy body...

Here are some tips...

  1. Wake up with water

It is best to first break your fast with a glass of water with lemon 🍋

  1. Breakfast

It is said that you should have your breakfast like a king,lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.
A good breakfast fuels you up and gets you ready for the day.

Your breakfast should be rich in fibers like cornflakes or oats,so that you stay full for a couple of hours.
For protein,add a glass of milk, yogurt or nuts.
You can add fruits,they are rich in vitamins and anti oxidants.
Don't skip your breakfast and wait to eat until lunch, you will be so hungry to make a healthy choice.

Eat every 3-4 hours. Take small bites and chew as long as possible. Research show that,the more you chew,the more nutrients are absorbed in the body.

  1. Lunch

For lunch,make a colourful salad 🥗
Try tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, latuce, cucumber, beans etc.for a healthy mix of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Try new veggies everyday.
You can add some dressing but try to choose lighter version or olive oil based.
You can add some fat In lunch, they are important for absorption of fat soluble vitamins like A,D,E,K.

  1. Afternoon snack

Almost everyone needs snack between lunch and dinner.
Try cereals, yogurt, banana 🍌etc.

  1. Dinner

You can have a cup of soup with cooked vegetables like broccoli or spinach and brown rice.

  1. Dessert

It is natural to crave for dessert sometimes.
You can have strawberry dressed with chocolate, apple with honey etc.

7.Don't forget me

  • Take a sleep of 7-8 hours a day.

  • Have minimum of 10-12 glass of water a day.

  • Minimum 30 minutes exercise.
