I had been back from Taiwan since 4 days ago and am still recuperating from travelling's tiredness. Not only did I notice my physical body took quite a while to be back to normal, my taste bud also needed time to adjust back to my country's food. I wanted and was eager to blog about my travel but my brain did not cooperate with my desire. 😂 So that will be few days(sss) from now.

Taiwanese food is generally Chinese cuisine considering Chinese people are the majority there. Malaysian food is a mixture of Malay, Indian and Chinese food. The main difference we spotted when at Taiwan was pork dishes and pork figurines and pork statures were everywhere, shining their glamour without needing to hide. While at my country which is a Muslim country, pork can only be found at non-halal places. 'Halal' means lawful and permitted by Muslim laws, needless to say, pork is non-halal.

That is why, after eating Taiwan food for 7 days, I missed them ALOT!

I was thinking of cooking them but my limbs barely moved to the beat of cooking. I thrn grabbed hold of my phone to browse food online. Lo and behold, I saw new restaurant being featured and with 30% discounts as well.

Introducing The Taste (Taiwanese Food)

This is nothing new in town but it is new in the food delivery list. God must has been noticing my desire for Taiwanese food 😂 and caused this restaurant to be listed. Even better, with discounts!!! I was like overwhelmingly overjoyed.

Braised Chicken Soy Sauce Bento Set!

Initially I wanted to order pork braised rice or pork stewed rice but it was not opened, later on I found out this is to respect the Grabfood delivery person in case the person is a Muslim. If I want to try their pork selection, I have to visit the restaurant one day. Well, better than no Taiwan food.

Look at my happy face. This bento set came with a generous amount of stir fry cabbage (the whole bottom part was packed with cabbage!) and broccoli, also half herb-infused hard boiled egg.

Famous Taiwan Chicken Popcorn Bento Set!

This meal was specially ordered for my eldest because the popcorn chicken was his first-found lover, he could eat it daily that we needed to stop him from hunting it. Haha. They usually used chicken breast for the popcorn chicken, and the batter used to fry the chicken was totally delicious. Sprinkled with a dash of chilli powder make it wholesome.

Clear Noodle Soup

I ordered this for the youngest son, who just recovered from some stomach discomfort and oh my, we were totally amazed at the amount of fishballs given, like soooooo generous. When being packed, the restaurant separated the soup from the noodle, because it was meant to be together when we wanted to eat it. Poured in the soup into the noodle mixture and we had this. I loved the taste of the fried anchovies incorporated into the bowl of soup. Clear but super yummy. Look at the generous amount of bean sprouts too! Delicious!

Overall presentation!

After we wiped all clean and clear, we were left with smiling faces and happy tummy. I sent all the photos to my husband for his admiration while he was still outside working. I told him we could go to The Taste restaurant soon to try their pork dishes.
