STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE # 29: Venezuelan style Brunch, Arepitas, Tortillas and Fruits

Hello dear steemians

As a mother and Venezuelan, I am always motivated to create a healthy diet, as it is the best for our children, today to compete in this beautiful kitchen project that inspires and motivates me decided to use the traditional ingredients of my land Venezuela. Including in it Our Arepa typical in each daily dish of the Venezuelan, only that with a small adaptation remembering that the style Brunch is a meal realized between the breakfast and the lunch and that can be extended until the 5 of the afternoon. I decide to include in the menu omelettes with vegetable eggs, thus generating a lot of flavor and nutritious contribution.
As this type of service is usually used on Sunday days for their dedication and is ideal for family sharing add Fruits, making it so fresh, natural and super nutritious for anyone who enjoys it.

Ingredients

For the arepas

200grs Precooked Corn Flour
50 Grs Wheat Flour
100grs of carrot
100grs of Calaballin
2 butter spoons
a pinch of salt

For tortillas

3 eggs
2 Chili
3 sprigs of chives
1 tomato
a pinch of salt

Fruits

2 apples
1 sleeve
200grs of strawberries
Also included to accompany the final dish 200grs of fresh cheese.

Preparation

Arepitas

Begin by washing and peeling the carrots and zucchini, then with lightning strike proceed to scratch each of the vegetables and then reserve in a bowl or a large container, place the corn flour, wheat flour, salt , The butter, the already scratched vegetables plus a trickle of water and with the aid of a palette all the ingredients are mixed until moist and maintain a uniform and damp consistency.

Slowly heat a frying pan, griddle or griddle to roast the arepas to be made in the hand forming a ball and then with the help of a plastic we are giving round shape as if it were a full moon, when gilding on one side and with help From a spatula we turn, reserve.

Tortillas

Clean the tomatoes, chives and Aji, cut and place inside a blender to process it placed in a small bowl.


Add the eggs to the mixture and move with a fork, in a frying pan over low heat place a little oil with a napkin, place the measure of five tablespoons of the mixture and flip when it is golden.

Chop the cheese, apples, strawberries and mangoes decorate the dish to your liking and enjoy.

Hola queridos Steemians

Como mama y venezolana, siempre estoy motivada por crear una alimentación saludable, ya que es lo mejor para nuestros hijos, hoy para concursar en este hermoso proyecto de cocina que inspira y motiva he decidido utilizar los ingredientes tradicionales de mi tierra Venezuela. Incluyendo en ella Nuestra Arepa típica en cada plato diario del venezolano, solo que con una pequeña adaptación recordando que el estilo Brunch es una comida realizada entre el desayuno y el almuerzo y que se puede prolongar hasta las 5 de la tarde. Decido incluir al menú tortillas de huevos con vegetales, generando así mucho sabor y aporte nutritivo.
Como este tipo de servicio se usa por lo general los días Domingo por su dedicación y que es ideal para el compartir familiar agregue Frutas, haciéndolo así más fresco, natural y súper nutritivo para todo el que lo deguste. Espero y deseo lo preparen y disfruten.

Comencemos.

Ingredientes

Para las arepas

200grs Harina de Maíz precocida
50 Grs Harina de Trigo
100grs de Zanahoria
100grs de Calaballin
2 cucharadas de mantequilla
Una pizca de sal

Para las tortillas

3 Huevos
2 Ají
3 ramitas de cebollín
1 tomate
Una pizca de sal

Frutas

2 Manzanas
1 manga
200grs de fresas
También incluimos para acompañar el plato final 200grs de Queso fresco.

Preparación

Arepitas

Comenzar lavando y pelando las zanahorias y el calabacín, luego con ayuda de un rayo se procede a rayar cada uno de los vegetales y reservar, luego en un bol o un recipiente amplio, colocar la harina de maíz, la harina de trigo, la sal, la mantequilla, los vegetales ya rayados más un chorrito de agua y con ayuda de una paleta se mezclan todos los ingredientes hasta humedecer y mantener una consistencia húmeda y uniforme.

Calentar a fuego lento un sartén, budare o plancha para asar las arepas que se realizaran en la mano formando una bolita y luego con ayuda de un plástico le vamos dando forma redonda como si fuese una luna llena, al dorar por un lado y con ayuda de una espátula vamos dando vuelta, reservar.


Tortillas

Limpiar los tomates, el cebollín y los Aji, trocear y colocar dentro de una licuadora para procesarlo colocarlo en un bol pequeño.



Agregar los huevos a la mezcla y mover con un tenedor, en un sartén a fuego lento colocar un poco de aceite con una servilleta, colocar la medida de cinco cucharadas de la mezcla y voltear cuando se encuentre dorado.

Picar el queso, las manzanas, las fresas y los mangos adornar el plato a su gusto y disfrutar.

Ooooh this looks just the kind of meal I would enjoy @haydeart! The ingredients so fresh and healthy, yet filling too, so this would be very satisfying. I've never eaten arepitas but would like to make them now I've seen yours, so thank you for the recipe, and good luck too!!!

GRACIAS GRACIAS, because other places Arepa is not common I will be preparing a post of this succulent and simple dish, here Venezuelans eat arepas every day and at any time. So when you see that post, I know you'll be inspired and you will have multiple options to make and enjoy.
