A Cool Drink For This Hot Summer!

Hi Guys... The weather is becoming extremely hot and here in Mangalore. After we received a pre monsoon rain about a fortnight ago, it was pretty cool for a day or two. After that slowly the temperature started raising and now it is nearly 37 or 38° centigrade and also the humidity is at it's maximum!.

So here I am with a cool, good flavoured and nutritious drink made using the following things.

Almonds 4 or 5, gingili or Sesame seeds 1 table spoon, cardamom 4, Coconut milk (or plain milk will do) and sugar or Jaggery Powder.

Soak Almonds and til for one hour. Now using a mixer or blender make a smooth paste adding cardamom and jaggery powder. Add coconut milk or plain milk. Refrigerate for half an hour and serve chilled...

Everyone will love its flavour!

Today I didn't had good quality of Jaggery at home. So I added bit sugar. So this looks white. If we add jaggery powder or syrup, this drink turns yellow...

Note: We can also roast the almond pieces and Sesame seeds instead of Soaking. Which gives a different flavor. But this also tastes equally good!!...
