Health, it's not rocket science, but it is no longer obvious either
Plants contain thousands of bioactive compounds, the real problems begin when these make it through the intestinal lining. Once they gain access to our blood stream, they are distributed into our tissues and cells.
This is not accidental, this is how plants defend themselves.
This is also why so many auto immune and mental health issues actually begin at the level of gut permeability. We have known this for a long time.
Yet we still use plants and chemicals derived from plants to try and treat problems that originate from treating them as food in the first place.
Milk products complicate this, though Ghee, which has the proteins removed, seems to be non reactive to the gut lining while retaining the ultra precious Omega 3, K2 and bioavailable ain’t-oxidants.
Cooking, processing and genetically selecting or modifying plants can neutralize or remove many of these compounds, but it only takes a tiny amount to trigger problems for people who have intolerances.
Unfortunately, most of us live in a ways that are already highly de-natured. We have deliberately desensitized ourselves to our habitats. This begins with building a roof and walls to keep dry, warm and safe, and ends with trading most of our time for money to pay for “essentials” then “comforts”.
We remain highly sensitive to each other and to our opinions, but increasingly less so to our biology beneath those influences.
This means we tend to get far from homeostasis, or wellness, before we notice. We also tend to change our short term emotional states in preference to healing our deeper physiological and psychological “imbalances”.
It is very hard to understand wellness and health without this 50,000 foot view of the challenges we all face.
I care deeply about the environmental, and socio economic impacts of agriculture. Of using selected plants, of altering them, and replacing nature with them, to achieve irreversible damage.
I find it deeply challenging to patiently listen to plant based dogma without becoming emotionally involved in a negative way.
Obviously we need to remain emotionally involved with each other. I have noticed within myself, that it is strong opinion anchored with fear that triggers and recharges negative emotional responses. Time spent in the practice of re-calibrating to reality - either in mindful stillness or attentive movement helps.
I would like to see some of the massive accumulated wisdom of our species actually making it through the noise of fear based control mechanisms - this is my hope for blockchains.
Ok this is where I lose you...I know..
Good luck, patience and peace be with you.
It’s not rocket science, but it is hard to listen to nature when there are so many opinions operating like filters between us and her.

2.@freemoceanisnow,
Much of this reminded me of this

Interesting fact that organic is cheaper when you divide the nutrients but the price.
When you look at bio availability of nutrient density in the absence toxins and that which blocks nutrient absorption - nothing beats grass fed meat and fat. Plants are not just unnecessary, they are problematic. That is not something I would expect anyone to take at face value, I certainly would not. Which is why I have been testing the purely carnivorous diet on myself over the last 2 years. Turns out, not only do not seam to require fruits and vegetables, I feel and move better with out them. Strange and un expected, but totally verifiable. Makes me question so many of the things that our species does in the name of balance or progress lol.. Thank you for reading and commenting, great to see you here!
I am agree with U @freemoceanisnow ..

I read that Stone age people mainly depended on non vegetarian food. But do not know what was its impact on them.
Quick Comment on the title, an old friend of mine / former assistant coach runs a model rocket company (http://pratt-hobbies.com), which has shirts that say "As a Matter of Fact, I am a Rocket Science!".
Not related to the post, just the title.
