Lonely Seaweed

Finding a needle in a haystack

You must have seen seaweed being sold in the supermarkets when you've been shopping, and being sold at high prices as well. So I was surprised to find this lonely looking seaweed on my walk all on its own in this dry baron land. So to bring some light to the lonesome seaweed I've provided a link to the health benefits of incorporating the delicious delicacy into one's diet. Rich in nutrients, this green seaweed is often used to maintain healthy skin and elevate a dish with it's salty taste, or even on its own it's very nice too. Click on the link to read about the benefits that this aquatic plant contains. It's also important to be aware of the pollution that these algae can pick-up and there is a good article by Loretto Contreras-Porcia and her affiliates covering the effects on ocean plantation connected to marine metal pollution, so be mindful if picking these out for yourselves. Let's take a look at this lonely fella.

Baron Flat Land

I'm deep in the bush but when the tide is out with a searing sun, all the moisture from this land is dried out, leaving an artistic look that is baron but beautiful at the same time. I got up close to the muddy plane and snapped a few beauties, and to think normally there is water covering this area, it's pretty cool to be walking the ocean floor. In fact around this particular area, there are Islands that one can walk across the water (knee to waste high water level) to get to, but be sure to wear a good pair of wellies. Now for nature and art to become one, enjoy!

I'm lucky enough to have a pal who hand harvests seaweed on the Sligo coast and keeps me supplied.

Nice @deirdyweirdy and you're fortunate for sure to have a pal to keep you supplied. I have family in Galway with many fond memories of Ireland. :-)

It is always nice to see which wonders nature gives us.
An impressive photo 👍

Thank you so much Bella! :-D
