Continuous self improvement is a necessary process we need, as human beings, to feel content. No one likes to regress in any part of their lives.

In order to succeed, in any endeavour, we need to work hard, consistently, over a long time. Getting these two pieces of the puzzle to fit, requires motivation. Now we get to the secret sauce.

Knowledge is motivating!

You have to understand the subject matter, to build the confidence and belief that you are on the right track. Let hone in on this point with an analogy.

Scenario 1:

When you first discover Steemit, you are attracted to the fact that some people are making a lot of money through this platform.

So, naturally, you start blogging straight away.

After a few blogs, a total of 10 views and 5cents of revenue, you decide that this platform is not worth it anymore, and you stop.

Scenario 2:

When you first discover Steemit, you are attracted to the fact that some people are making a lot of money through this platform.

You then spend the time to learn everything you can about how the platform works. After that, you follow some of the ‘best,’ and ask for their advice on how to ‘make it.’

Through all the planning and research, you discover that ‘no views’ is the norm in the beginning. Every single ‘success’ has to walk through the drought to get to the stream. The important part is to find your niche, be original, stay consistent and add value to the platform.

So, you then start writing. Things are slow, but, you expected that.

You keep on going,

And going,

And going,

Eventually you find success.

If you never did you due diligence in the beginning, you wouldn’t have anticipated the tough road, and you would have just given up.

I’m sure you get the idea. You can use this story in every aspect of your life.
