Grow food in your home. Delicious and healthy sprouts.

Even in the winter you can enjoy fresh food grown right in your own home. I use a commercially available sprouter, but you can use a plain old jar if you like.
Make sure you buy seeds intended for sprouting at home, there may be nasties hiding with other seeds.

Simply sprinkle some seeds into the tray and add enough water to cover them. Not too many seeds though, they soon fill up the tray.
The seeds soak up some water and the excess water automatically drains down to tbe next level.

One day old. Each day you should drain the bottom pan and put some fresh water into the top part with the seeds. It's not a big deal if you forget to do it one day, or do it a couple of times a day.

Hmmm, I remember taking more daily photos-but I can't find them. This is 5 or 6 days from first watering them.

So they are ready to eat now on sandwiches or garnishing just about any other dish. Now you can refrigerate these or keep them in the tray to eat fresh just make sure they get fresh water daily.
For an ongoing supply you can start another tray, they stack conviently.

The water will flow through each level and wind up in the bottom tray.

Delicious on morning eggs with salsa.

Baby girls however are not too sure about these weird stringy things.

Keep up with the great work :) and thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

I had no idea those grew that fast or that was what they were at all really. I allways get them on my sandwiches at jimmy johns but you don't really ever get them on anything else in the midwest. You really do learn something new every day. Very nice.

Those look tasty. Nothing better than fresh homegrown food.

Seems easy enough and they look so yummy! Awesome photos btw!!

Thanks for the kind words deer😘

That is cool @tatoodjay. Thanks for the heads up on this. Not sure right now I will do it but definitely something in the future to consider. Thnx.

Hmmm, Ed's a little confused🤔

Super photos, these remind me of Watercress we have in the UK - certainly a similar growth pattern my Grandma always used to mash up boiled eggs and then add the cress and egg to sandwiches - it worked really well.
