Buttered Mistress... oh I mean, Shrimp
Shrimp or decapod crustaceans is one of the most consumed seafood in the whole world due to its variety of dishes. One of the famous dishes is the tempura of the Japanese, which can be best eaten while having a pint of beer and a favorite movie during weekends.
Being a crustacean, this favorite seafood can trigger allergies, as crustaceans, together with dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, shellfish and more are food allergens. Therefore, be careful when consuming this food.
Despite that, shrimp has more health benefits. (even though they commonly eat sea algae). If one is trying to lose weight, look no more, as Shimp will offer you zero carbohydrates. That! if you are not going to eat it with rice or breaded for tempura.
Shrimp is also rich in iron, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium, and potassium, vitamin A, vitamin E, and B6, and even vitamin B12, and much more. Surprising, yes! that this funny decapod crustacean has a lot more to offer when eaten rather than cleaning the sea.
And since I am on a day out of work, I prepared one of my favorite crustacean dishes, Buttered Shrimp!
A simple and yet delicious dish. It only takes 20 minutes to cook and with a few ingredients needed.
Of course, the hero of our dish, Shrimp, In Tagalog we call it hipon, which become more famous to refer man and women who have great and sexy body (like mine) and a not-so-good-looking face. Because when eating shrimp, we normally throw its head and then peeled, enjoy and only consume its body.
"Hipon" most of the time refers to the mistress of those unfaithful men. Where the original one always believed that their man only had changed path because of burning libido and not love. lol.
As the original one always say,
put some garlic and onion with that "hipon", heat the pan and I'll cook that "hipon" to death.
Hahaha... This is what I always think every time I cooked my favorite dish. Don't get me wrong, It's just funny that the innocent shrimp was related to the ugly incident of some lovely woman or wife.
So I followed the instruction, I prepared about 5 cloves of garlic and 1 small red onion, together with the 500g of medium shrimp or suahe.
Heat the pan and put in about a two-finger size of butter, let it melt. After which, throw in the sliced onion and garlic until golden brown.
Then pour-in the hero of our dish, the mistress, oh I mean, the shrimp. :D.
For better flavor don't forget to put a pinch of salt and 3 shakes of ground pepper. And once the shrimp turns orange, put another spoon-full of butter to have better consistency of savory flavor.
Melt that butter, for about 5 minutes over a medium fire, continually stir and turn them and then...
Viola!
Bon Appetit!!

Nice dish. I love cooking in butter too rather than oil.
Yes, it us better to have it cooked with butter because of the flavor compare to an oil.
