Ulog #90: The Whole Beast - Goat/Mutton
SO I've been thinking of updating our catering menu and come up with some new items for our clients and customers to select from if they ever engage us. Thinking of it for a couple of days and an event space near my central kitchen where all the burger preps are done, had an event themselves and the people that rented the space had a food caterer for it.
I got some ideas from the people preparing the food for the event and it was a whole goat. It was being grilled on an open charcoal pit which I was excited to see and proceeded to ask the guy cooking it some foodie questions.
I asked him how much it cost for a whole goat and got his contact number which he then send me a text of all the info and how much each of their items costs. It was really inspiring and obviously I started taking down mental notes on what I could do for the new catering menu I was thinking about.
So it's gonna be soon and I'm really excited and pumped to be introducing some new barbecue and roasted food on the menu.
I'll be updating and writing about the journey here on my blog posts. Of course pictures will always be part of it. So stay tuned and have a good weekend ahead everyone.
