Ulog #220: Fluffy and Wholesome Wholemeal Buns

I use to make my own buns for my business but started outsourcing when I met someone who was a pro baker. We've since become friends and I now get my bun supply from him. He makes really good buns and customizes to our desired choosing. He also comes up with new ideas and recommends them to us to try out. I really like that because I get to focus on thinking of new concepts of burgers and come up with new burgers that I'm inspired by while getting fueled with more inspiration by my baker friend.

As buns are like the major component of a burger, I always make sure it's of the best quality and taste. My burger buns doesn't have any conditioner, artificial flavorings or of the sort. It is purely proofed through natural fermenting process and has the shelf life of around 2-3 days maximum depending on how you store it. Safe to say, it's not that easy even to store "real" buns but definitely you'll taste the difference compared to commercially made bread.

Not only does it taste better, the texture of these buns are better as well. It's more fluffy and put the whole burger together, it'll be one of the best burgers you'll eat in your life!

I change the type of bun on my food truck from time to time to keep things fresh and since I'm a small business and not a commercial brand, I get to do so :D

I currently us a wholemeal bun with sesame seeds on top. It's nutty as well as wholesome, if there is such a flavor expression, and really goes well as a burger bun.
