RE: Even cats eat pasta in Italy!

in #food6 years ago

It's a French variety and not very popular in Italy, but in Friuli they're into many different grapes , cause they have great soil and climate. To be honest reds from Friuli are slightly less appreciated by wine lovers than the whites, which are amazing, but there are a few good red ones too :)

Do you drink Barolo much? Hope i spelled that right

It's not a wine that's in my crosshair... I drink it with someone once in a while, but I much prefer nebbiolo from Lombardy. Barolo is made of 100% nebbiolo, it's a local appelation in Piedmont actually, that's famous for it. But as always it depends on the producer, some are better and some are worse.

Ill have to search out those wines you mentioned in previous replys. I love trying wines from different areas, its like taking a trip without even leaving your home. So any Californian wines in your crosshairs?

You know how hard is to get any other wines than Italian ones in Italy? :D You're gonna get some French ones, but not much more :)

Haha should of known better😉
