Foodie finds; California Cookie Dough
Gather around my dear steemit foodies and welcome to my very first story. Now you may have heard or seen the "edible cookie dough" trend which seems to be all over Instagram lately. My first reaction to this was confused as I thought to myself, "edible cookie dough? Well how is that even possible?" Well after some extensive research I, myself, have found out the two key ingredients are.. ready for it? heat treated flour and no eggs. Yeah that's right no eggs. No eggs and heat treated flour are the reason why this cookie dough is edible. It means no salmonella whatsoever. Now the other ingredients are totally up to whoever is making it. So now that we have discussed edible cookie dough, may I have your attention to something else. I deeply looked through the web to find a shop who sells edible cookie dough. I stumbled upon California Cookie Dough which is located on 18854 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley in California.

They have a wide range of dough flavors; from Unicorn cookie dough, which has tons of color, pop, sprinkles, and even topped with an edible unicorn horn! Or if you aren't feeling unicorn-y, try their hulk cookie dough! Its minty green, and also features chocolate and Oreos! 
(also from their instagram, see above) You can either purchase these amazingly eye catching treats in a cup or a colorful waffle cone. And wanna know the best part about these? IT DOESN'T MELT! Relive your childhood by not only having the chance to eat cookie dough that won't make you sick and finally having a treat that won't melt! You can literally take these anywhere and they will not melt! Oh and did I also mention you can take these home and bake them? YES that's right my foodie fiends, you can bake them! And it tastes amazing! If you live in Southern California, I suggest you take a trip on over to California Cookie Dough and try one of these marvelous treats for yourself and relive your childhood.
