3 Effect of Sleeping after Sahur (Pre-dawn meal)
1. Dehydration of body and brain. The water that we drank was not absorbed by the body instead it will go straight to the gallbladder.
2.The food that we eat during Sahur could not process as it should and most of the nutrition could not be absorbed by the body. Hence, you will experience hunger as early as 10 am.
3.The interaction between the brain and intestine will be disrupted.
Sometimes we are so eager to prepare highly nutritious food during Sahur to improve our energy level to sustain the day until breakfast. Unfortunately, sleeping after Sahur can jeopardise the whole fasting journey of the day and we can end up feeling lethargic and tired.
If you feel sleepy and need to sleep, you may do so 4 hours after Sahur.
