Food in Beijing: KATOYA + 0.5 sbd giveaway

Konichiwa! Welcome to the first Japanese food post done by @asianetwork. So usually I do a SBD giveaway post; but this time, the contest in within this post. Hope you enjoy.

There are a lot of Japanese restaurants in Beijing and they are delicious! The only thing is, I don't really eat in Japanese restaurant because the prices are slightly higher. It is definitely not the cheapest meal, but you are able to get a decent Japanese food.

Introducing KATOYA 藤屋

KATOYA is a Japanese restaurant located in Haidian district, it is a 5 minutes walk away from where I lived, in which I considered it quite near and convenient. From afar, this restaurant would not look like anything. The tinted windows hides what's going on in the restaurant until it the skies turn dark and the lights become bright for everyone to notice.

The interior of the restaurant is actually really amazing, the lights and decorations topped my expectations. It wasn't crowded, and the atmosphere is good and comfortable.

Pricing

I am not sure about the price of Japanese food in the U.S or other places. But the price in this restaurant is almost double the usual price. A bowl of Curry Udon Noodles is 45CNY (about $7USD )

You can say that it is not the kidn of food that you will eat everyday or it will definitely burn your pocket.

Cheese Katsu Set

I ordered the Cheese Katsu Set and it comes with a side dish of Miso soup, beans, pickled cucumber, rice, and salad with sesame sauce. The side dishes are refillable, and it was way more than I expected.
