How to make crispy tofu with tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of tofu.
  • 200 grams of tomatoes.
  • 50 grams of green onion.
  • 1 shallot.
  • 1 tbsp of tapioca starch.
  • Cooking oil, sugar, fish sauce, pig stock powder.

Step by step guides.

Step 1:

  • Rinse tomatoes, cut it into wedges.
  • Rinse well and very thinly sliced shallot.
  • Chopped green onion.
  • Cut tofu into your desired shapes.

Step 2:

  • Heat 2 tbsps of cooking oil into a frying-pan, put tofu and fry well on the both side until lightly golden, put it into a plate and set aside.

Step 3:

  • Into a frying-pan which you have cooked tofu, heat leftover oil, then add shallot, fry well until fragrant. Then add tomatoes, stir-fry well until soft. Add 1 tsp of pig stock powder, continue to stir-fry well over low heat for a minute.
    You can add 1 tsp of sugar into if you like.

Step 4:

  • Stir well 1 tbsp of tapioca starch with 3 tbsps of water until tapioca starch is dissolved. Then pour the mixture into the tomato frying-pan which you have cooked. Add fish sauce, pig stock powder to taste, stir well over medium heat until the mixture is boiled. Then add the tofu, cooked over low heat for about 10 minutes until the sauce is thickened. Final step is add green onion. Serve hot.
