Fusilli pasta sauce recipe.
Ingredients.
- 300 grams of minced beef.
- 2 small onions (finely chopped).
- 1 red pepper (finely chopped).
- 400 grams tin of chopped tomatoes.
- 5 cloves of garlic (finely chopped).
- 1 tablespoon sugar.
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves.
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves.
- 175 grams of Fusilli pasta.
- A handful of grated Mozzarella
- salt, pepper, olive oil, vegetable oil.
Instructions.
- Mix well beef, pepper and salt in a bowl for about 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
- In a large pot, add salt (1 teaspoon of salt for each litre of water), vegetable oil and bring to a boil, add pasta.
- Boil for about 11 minutes (sirring occasionally) till tender and drain well.
- Heat oilve oil in the pan over medium heat, add beef and stir well for about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- Add onion to the pan in which you were cooking beef and cook in the leftover beef oil for about 5 minutes till the onion starts to soften.
- Add garlic, pepper and stir fry well for about 1 minute.
- Add the tinned tomatoes, oregano leaves, basil leaves, sugar, salt and simmer till the sauce has thickened.
- Add pasta into the frying pan with the sauce which you've just cooked. Fry stir well till the pasta is coated with the sauce.
- Serve hot with grated of Mozzarella on top.
